“The one thing I always love about Woods’ prompt books is the freedom they give to the writers. The picture prompts are vague but still interesting. The story starters are fun but you could take them in any direction. And I feel like there is always a bit of a twist to her prompt ideas that makes each section (and prompt book) unique. Plus, all of the extra charts at the end make me happy!
One thing that I would be concerned about if I were a parent would be whether or not the book is too “steamy,” if you know what I mean. Personally, I would feel totally comfortable giving this to a teenager to use. The prompts themselves are cute and sweet, and I could see an aspiring teen-romance novelist using them easily. However, I am sure you could make the stories more risque if that’s where your imagination leads you.
